  1. Review of September meeting minutes - approved
  1. HLC Mark of Affiliation - Need to ensure that HLC mark is on the homepage rather than the about page for main campus. Suggestion to put it in the footer. Alamogordo to work on getting the mark on the campus’ homepage
  1. Faculty credentials - the suggestion to err on the side of caution with instructor credentials. This is the same for distance courses, dual-credit, full-time instructors etc. Request that the Provost send out information related to faculty credentials.
  1. Campus, College and Departmental accreditation updates

HSS - (T. Keller) Department of Public Health put together committee to put together self-study visit 2017

DACC (S. Wood) - DACC is working on Dental Hygiene program (interim director helping with accreditation)

Rad tech is waiting for word on visit - likely in the spring

New degree making progress

Police academy training progress

HLC - Monitoring report for visit that will be in March at DACC

Education - Ph.D. Kinesiology program on time for Fall 2017 by CAEP. It will be an option of whether or not to stay with CAEP.

Engineering (R. Sassenfeld) - ABET has gone into the WEAVE format by October. Writing Across the Curriculum is also in progress. Implementing student complaint software adapted for Engineering. Engineering Tech program going up for accreditation from ABET 2017. 2018 for the rest of the programs

Alamogordo (G. Hillis) - Associate in Allied health approved in Banner

Carlsbad (B. Finley) - AQIP team becoming

Las Cruces (S. Stovall) - Multi-location visit in Alamogordo and Albuquerque Center. It was made clear that the student complaint process will be scrutinized. Closing the loop with assessment was also a focus.

Computer Science - Recently had ABET visit. Felt the pieces were there but they do want further alignment.

Campus Health Center - Currently having a site visit.

5. Alternate reporting process - to be sent out to committee members.

6. Federal Compliance - Carlsbad documents received positive feedback and will be shared as an example. Consistency will be critical throughout the system when submitting these documents.

7. HLC policy comment - Strategic plan discussion

8. Enrollment reporting - Change in enrollment reporting to HLC. Report only degree-seeking students (not non-degree seeking or dual credit). May be an issue related to enrollment reductions.

New Business: Accreditation webpage will be necessary for evidence that the campuses work as a system.

Look into Office 365 or Canvas for internal committee work.
