Dear Homecoming Parade Float Chairperson,

This wagon has been arranged for you to rent by Nittany Mountain Trail Rides, Inc. If you have some question or problem with the wagon, call us at 814-880-5100. If the problem is something that you can fix such as a flat tire, and you have the ability to fix it, or take it to a tire place as I would do anyway, please do it. I have fifty wagons in the parade and I need all the help I can find.

Do not alter the basic structure of the wagon. Use screws and staples sparingly. You will be taking everyone of them back out! You may add pieces that you can easily remove, but do not damage this wagon by drilling holes, cutting, ripping off pieces, etc. If you do, you will be billed and your damage deposit will be forfeited.

Please secure the wagon so that some prankster does not steal it. Secure it with a chain and lock and keep it in a place where it will not accidentally run off into street.

To connect the lights, follow the instructions that were explained at the captain’s meeting. Most sport and large vehicles have a light connection near the hitch or in the spare tire compartment. You may have to search diligently. If the vehicle has a round seven-pole connector, you will need an adapter available at Wal-Mart or any auto store to go from four-wire connection into the seven wire round plug.

After the parade, you will display the float until Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, you will deliver the float to PSURecyclingCenter to dismantle it and recycle the components. If you wish to save parts of it such as wood, remove those parts before you take it to the recycling center. Leave the tow bolt in the hitch so that we can retain it. Check in at the Recycling to record your delivery. Two persons are to accompany the float to assist with dismantling. Do not remove the lights, chain or the orange triangles until the float is at the recycling center.

Please secure the wagon so that someone does not take it or move it. Put it behind something and out of sight so someone does not damage tires, etc. Lock it with a chain and padlock
