Night Porter – Part/Full Time

To greet guests on arrival and assist with luggage and escort to the reception desk. To be part of an efficient team, ensuring guest/client comfort during stay and to ensure the security of the building and hotel guests at all times.

Role & Responsibilities

·  To greet and check guests in when Reception is not manned by main Reception team, during the late evening and early hours of the morning.

·  To escort guests to their room and give a full description of the hotel and facilities

·  To display excellent knowledge of all local areas and Wales in relation to guests requirments

·  Ensure the guest’s luggage is correctly labelled and delivered to rooms quickly and efficiently

·  Maintain the cleanliness of the front of house and public areas

·  Ensure hotel security and undertake regular security checks throughout the night.

·  Ensure that the guests lifts are spotless and fully functioning at all times

·  Ensure messages for guests are delivered promptly

·  To be aware of all functions that are held in the hotel, to check and prepare the notice board each day

·  Setting up of conference rooms as per function requirments and assisting in their service.

·  Ensuring the breakdown of conference is done and equipment is stored correctly

·  To coordinate guests requests for taxis, using agreed provider.

·  To assist duty managers in the receiving of deliveries as required

·  To assist the Front Office team in handling guest inquires as required

·  To work independantly and as an integral part of a team

·  To comply with all legal requirments in respect of health, safety, welfare and security of staff and customers

·  All staff of the company are required to make themselves available for training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given

·  All staff must attend fire training as required by law, and to be familiar with the departmental responsibilities

·  To undertake any other duties requested by management

Ideal Candidates Should:

·  Be of a friendly and cheerful disposition

·  Have an eye for detail

·  Possess excellent knowledge of Conwy, Llandudno and North Wales

·  Have excellent communication and organisational skills and be physically fit.
