Because You Provide for Us - Our short series on singing thanks to God comes to a close this Thanksgiving Day 2015. We join the Psalmist in singing thanks to God because He is the God who provides. We sing thanks to God because He provides the food we need to sustain life. As we think about that we can’t help but reflect back on the bountiful harvest God has again provided even though, this year, it did come through some difficult circumstances for some – like the avian flu. We also sing our thanks to God because in His providing food to nourish our bodies He also nourishes our souls because we recognize that there is not only a physical blessing in the food God provides but a spiritual blessing. God provides us with every sort of good things in abundance. So we sing this day, our thanks to Him.
