NICYC (North Idaho Catholic Youth Camp) in a Nutshell!
Dates: Camp is ALWAYS the second FULL-week of July, beginning on Sunday ie: July 10-15, 2016
Ages: Children entering 5th grade this fall through 12th graders and/or students who graduated this Spring

Cost:$250. If payment in full is NOT RECEIVED BY NICYC STAFF BEFORE June 1st, cost increases to $300. A $25non-refundable deposit is required (along with completed paperwork in hard-copy) to hold a spot for your child. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this! Please honor all the hard work of our staff by taking care of things in a timely manner.
LITE: This stands for “Leaders in Training Eternal”. These are our Junior Counselors, and we have an AMAZING and ENILGHTENING program that eases our campers into leadership. LITEs are limited to campers who are entering 11th grader or older and application must be postmarked by May 1st.
Scholarships: Some scholarships are available.The deadline for scholarship applications is MAY 1st! We are not able to make EXCEPTIONS!!!!.
Our mission: to encourage the Catholic youth of our area to grow closer to Christ, to personally learn more about our Catholic faith, and to grow in fellowship and love with other Christian young people. We offer a week long camp steeped in Roman Catholic Tradition and learning how to live it in today's world.
What do we do at Camp? Have a blast, that's what! Some of our activities include:
•Rock climbing
•zip-lining
•Eucharistic Procession and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
•Tubing on the river
•Singing and dancing
•Nightly campfires
•Daily Mass and/or Holy Communion
•Participating in a local service project… To serve as Jesus served those He loved (Mk 10:45)
•Amazing arts and crafts
•First Word (morning minute at the flagpole as we get our minds focused on God's daily will for us)
•Sacrament of Reconciliation
•Working through a challenge course
•Swimming and hiking
•Giant Rope Swing
•and… of course, there will be an awesome Catholic curriculum that focuses on building character in today's youth, including how to live as a vibrant & alive Catholic in today's world.
