I am writing to inform you that you that your application was successful and that Barnsley Hospital NHS FoundationTrust has been selected for Partner status for the period 1stApril 2010 to 31stMarch 2011.

In total, 23 Trusts have been selected as Equality and Diversity Partners for 2010/11.A rigorous process was applied to all submissions against the 10 criteria listed in the application pro forma. The submissions were then assessed and scrutinised by a panel who were impressed with the evidence you provided and recommended your Trust for Partnerstatus. The evidence you submitted was informative and the contents demonstrated the enormous commitment of your Trust to embedding equality, diversity and human rights into the core business of your organisation.

As an NHS Employers Equality and Diversity Partner you will be at the forefront of developing equality, diversity and human rights good practice both within the NHS – and across the wider public sector.

It is with pleasure that I enclose the agreement for 2010/11 which contains the conditions of the offer. Please can you ensure it is signed by yourself and your Chief Executive (and / or another Board level Executive)and returned to Carol Baxter, Head of Equality and Diversity at NHS Employers by 19thMarch 2010.

Details of the successful Partners will be published on our website from22nd March 2010.

We would also like to invite you to attend a meeting in Leeds on 25th March 2010 where you will be able to meet some of the existing Partners and your fellow Partners for 2010/11 (further details to follow).
