Walk In Interview for Engagement of PART TIME DENTAL SURGEON ON CONTRACT BASIS, South East Central Railway, Raipur Division
It is proposed to engage two PART TIME DENTAL SURGEON ON CONTRACT BASIS for Railway Hospital Raipur & Bhilai Mashalling Yard.
The Walk In Interview will be held in the office of the Chief Medical Superintendant ,RailwayHospital,WRS Colony,Raipur on06/09/2013 from 12Noon onwards. Registration of the eligibleapplicants will be done from 10.00 am upto 12Noon only on the same date and venue.
Only those candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should report at the venue and submit application(As per enclosed format) on plain paper enclosing attested copies of documents specified in thisnotification. The candidates should also bring with them all original documents for perusal of the nominatedcommittee. The candidates will be assessed for academic and professional ability by the nominatedcommittee.

Emoluments : The Part Time Dental Surgeon engaged for two hours , will be paid monthly remuneration
of Rs9,700/- as consolidated amount. Proportionate reduction per day of absence is Rs 323 /-
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification :
a)Candidate should possess Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Degree from aninstitute recognized by the Dental Council of India.
b) Candidates should submit attempt certificate.
c) Candidate should have completed one year of the Compulsory Rotatory Internship.
d) The candidate should be registered as Dentist / Dental Surgeon with the DentalCouncil of India under Dentists Act 1948 and its amendments.
1) Experience:The candidate should possess three years working experience after completion of BDS OR shouldpossess a Post Graduate degree (MDS) from an institute recognized by Dental Council Of India.
2) Age Limit:The candidate should not be over 60 years of age anytime during the tenure of thecontract. Any Part Time Dental Surgeon engaged with the railway shall cease to be on contract onhis/her attaining the age of 60 years.
3) General Health:Candidate should be of good general health.
4)Character:The candidate should bear good moral character.
Nature of engagement:
- Purely on Contract Basis.
- For two hours daily and preferably in the morning hours.
- For a period of one year or less from date of entering into contract extendable for five annual contracts (including first contract).
- Normally Sundays and National holidays will be off.
- The candidate who enters into contract with the railway will not have any claim or right for hiscontinuity in service or automatic extension of the term of contract or for regularization /absorption in the post.
- Railway can terminate the contract of the Part Time Dental Surgeon with notice period of 15days. The contract shall also be terminated forthwith if the part time dental surgeon is found tobe mentally or physically handicapped.
- The Part Time Dental Surgeon can also tender resignation with notice period of 15 days.

The following documents should be produced at the time of interview in original and the attested photocopies of each should be enclosed with the application on plain paper as per enclosed format.
1) Mark Sheet of all years of BDS course.
2) BDS Degree Certificate.
3) Attempt Certificate of all years
4) Compulsory Rotatory Internship Completion Certificate.
5) Valid Dental Council of India Registration Certificate.
6) Three years Experience certificate (not applicable for Post Graduate Degree holders – Postgraduate candidates should submit mark list and PG Degree Certificate)
7) Proof of Age / Date of Birth certificate
8) Valid ID proof (Voter identity Card / PAN card/ driving license / Nationalized bank pass bookwith photograph will be considered as valid identity proof )
9) Two passport size photographs
Candidates awaiting results /mark lists/ registration / experience certificates need not apply.
Incomplete documentation/ failure to produce requisite documents at the time of registration will not
be entertained.

ANNEXURE-A
1.Dental Surgeons on part-time basis (referred to hereinafter as Pt. Time Dental Surgeon) as are engaged on contract from time to time for a duration of two hours daily.
2.The contract shall be entered into for one year or less from the date of entering into the contract. Period of contract is not extendable on any grounds. However, the Railway administration shall reserve the right to enter into fresh contract, for one year or less, with Practitioner or for further contracts. But no Dental Surgeon shall be ordinarily engaged for more than 5 annual contracts. However, in cases where alternative arrangements are not feasible and it becomes inescapable to engage a dental surgeon for more than five annual contracts, a suitable proposal be sent to Railway Board with full details and justification.
3.Part-time Dental Surgeon who enters into contract with the Railways will not have any claim or right for his/her continuity.
4.During the validity of the contract, the Part-time Dental Surgeon or the Railway Administration will be at liberty to terminate the contract by giving 15 days notice at any time during the contract without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Contract shall also be terminated forthwith if the Part-time Dental Surgeon is found to be mentally or physically incapacitated.
5.At the time of entering into contract, the Part-time Dental Surgeon shall produce certificates of his/her character and antecedents from two gazetted officers of the Central/State Government.
6.At the time of entering into contract, the Part-time Dental Surgeon shall produce original certificates for proof of his/her date of birth and educational qualifications. The part-time Dental Surgeon must have three years working experience or be a postgraduate.
7.The Part-time Dental Surgeon shall be of good general health. Any Dental Practitioner engaged as Part-time Dental Surgeon shall cease to be on contract on his attaining the age of 60 years.
8.Normally Sundays and National Holidays will be off.
9.The monthly fee for Part-time Dental Surgeon and the daily rate of proportionate reduction from the fee in the event the Part-time Dental Surgeon absents himself/herself for periods exceeding those stipulated in the contract, are at the following rates:
(a)Monthly Fee
Part-time contract for:
Two hours – Rs.9,700
(b)Proportionate reduction per day of absence
Part-time contract for:
Two hours – Rs.323
10.The Part-time Dental Surgeon shall be governed in respect of matters not referred to in these terms and conditions by any orders/amendments to the terms contract issued by the Railway from time to time.
11.The Part-time Dental Surgeon shall nor exercise any financial powers.
12.The Part-time Dental Surgeon shall not initiate/review/accept the annual confidential reports of Group ‘C’ Railway employees.
13.The Part-time Dental Surgeon shall not indent or condemn/recommend foe condemnation any tools and plants.
14.The Part-time Dental Surgeon will be available in the Railway Unit during the contract hours daily and will attend to Railway beneficiaries only. During the prescribed hours of duty the Part-time Dental Surgeon shall not attend to any private patient or shall leave the premises of the unit in which he is engaged, except with the permission of the Head of the Hospital/Unit.
15.Part-time Dental Surgeon will be required to perform minimal restorative dentistry, periodontal treatment, extraction, endodontic treatment and any emergent treatment.
16.The Part-time Dental Surgeon will nor be entitled to any concession granted to Railway employees and their families in case of exceptionally emergency cases, if any, referred to Part-time Dental Surgeon at his private clinic or he is being called to attend the cases at the Railway Dental Clinic, he does so free of charge. No extra payment will be made to him for the services thus rendered.
17.He will entitle to get one set of ordinary first class complementary pass available for All Indian Railways per extent rule.
18.The Part-time Dental Surgeon should work in the morning OPD hours preferably.
