Students will write a newspaper featuring numerous articles covering the various topics given to them. The newspaper will cover the present day. These are all to be original stories. This project will be due on Friday September 29, 2017. Each day late will result in 20 points after. By Wednesday October 4, 2017 it will be a zero if it hasn’t been turned in.Three of your articles will be written in the style of yellow journalism. Three more articles will be written in the style of muckraking. The newspaper will be broken down into five different sections: national news (2), international news (2), sports, entertainment/business, and state/local news (2).

This assignment will be worth two major grades. That means 30% of your quarter grade and 6% of your overall grade for the year! You will be put into groups of four. If you have a group member not pulling their weight, I need to be informed by the Monday the assignment is due. After that I will not be able to help you out.
