NEWSLETTER Term 4 | Week16288 8842 |

Welcome back to dance for our final term of the year 2017. A very busy term for us all, with many commitments as families, we hope to keep our concert preps as stress free as possible for our dance families. Any questions at all regarding concert, please contact us in the office, we are very happy to talk you through the (sometimes overwhelming) information.

Congratulations to our dancers that attended competitions during the holidays and also to those that are performing in various shows/company performances. We are proud at IPA to produce dancers/performers that are successful or in demand for other performance opportunities – what a talented bunch you are!

  • CONCERT TICKETS - On sale today!!! Book your tickets via our website
  • DANCING IS ON AS USUAL SHOW DAY/WEEKEND(Thursday 25th October)- We understand that some families will be away, however ask that you let us know of your absence asap as it is awfully close to concert time. Soloists please also let us know if you won’t be at your lesson to avoid your teaching waiting around un-necessarily.
  • CONCERT BOOKLET ON WEBSITE AND AVAILABLE AT RECEPTION – There is a comprehensive concert booklet that has been emailed home. It is important that you take the time to read it to ensure you are well informed (sorry, it’s quite long!). It also holds very important dates and compulsory rehearsals. Thank you for taking the time to prepare yourselves as it will certainly help to ensure a smooth concert day.
  • COSTUMING IS ARRIVING DAILY – Costuming invoices are now very overdue. If you are unsure of costuming requirements, please ask your group teacher. Costume meets will be arranged for each group shortly to talk you through costuming, hair, make-up etc. Once your invoice has been paid and costume has arrived, we will send home with our dancer. Please note: some costuming will require trimming.
  • CHAMPION GROUP– Its not too late to join the team. Champion group is being prepared as a competition piece for 2018. Please enquire with Miss Sam or via the office for further information.
  • JAZZ EXAMS CLASSES RESUME THIS TERM – Those regular jazz exam students have already been invoiced and note that jazz exam classes resume in term 4. Jazz exam classes are highly recommended by of both us for any of our dancers – dancers that we have recommended to take up this class have come ahead in leaps and bounds. We encourage anyone considering the class to make enquiries now – get into these classes dancers they are fantastic for your training and growth.
  • POST CONCERT 2018 ROUTINES WILL BE STARTED – we don’t need to tell you….BUT, we have had a crazy year trying to fit everything into year #1 (in hindsight, this was over committing at it’s best!). We are planning a much smoother 2018 and will be making a big start on our 2018 routines immediately post concert to ensure we are one step ahead moving into 2018. Thank you for surviving the biggest year of dance EVER! ;)
  • EXCITING NEW CLASSES ON OFFER IN TERM 4 STRETCH CLASS & ADULT FIT - book you spot today.
  • DIAMOND DANCER - A reminder to our diamond dancers that all group classes above and beyond your diamond status are accessible to you FOC. If you are unsure of what a diamond dancer is please feel free to call Miss Sam (0426 286 642)) and she will happily discuss it with you. The very first of our loyalty programs on offer has been wonderfully received, we sincerely hope it makes a difference to our dance families.
  • ATTENDANCE–It is essential this term that dance is a priority in term 4 and attendance to class each week essential to your dancer being performance ready. It not only affects the group when there is an absence and also holds up the progression of the routine/s and your dancer can fall behind quite quickly. We are producing a quality show and know you too have expectations after a year of dance classes, but most importantly it is essential our dancers are confident to ensure a positive stage experience.
  • COMMUNICATION – It is important to know that admin is responsible for invoicing, booking and cancelling of all classes and whilst we appreciate you letting your teachers know, any changes regarding your classes/invoices etc should be sent to the office email to ensure prompt attention and it not getting missed/delayed.

‘We won’t just survive, Oh you will see us thrive…’
