In itsunrelenting mission to fuel the craft beer revolution, irreverent Scottish brewery BrewDog has today announced the opening of BrewDog Homerton in the London borough of Hackney. Its eighth venue in the capital, the new bar joins BrewDog Shoreditch in the vibrant area of East London, and is set to provide local beer geeks another dedicated haven for craft beer exploration, just in time for the festive season.

Throwing open the doors on Friday 2nd December, BrewDog Homerton will offer an array of craft beers from local breweries such as Brew By Numbers, Kernel and Five Points. BrewDog headliners, which include the infamous flagship Punk IPA, will be joined by a series of small batch beers from the Aberdeenshire brewery, across 12 tap lines, an exciting bottle selection, and a growler station, all accompanied by a carefully curated pizza menu, perfectly paired to the beers on offer.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt said:

“We’re excited to finally announce yet another cathedral of craft in London. There are so many cool places to visit in Hackney, and with our Shoreditch bar flying the flag for amazing craft beerin the vibrant East of the city, we wanted to ramp up the scene even further with a second venue this side of London. Culturally rich and fiercely independent, East London is a thriving epicentre for craft beer, home-brewing, and micro-breweries – the perfect place for our eighth London instalment to land.”

A site of constant regeneration, London’s Hackney continues to be a home for all things independent, and BrewDog’s new beer temple is set to become an incredible addition to the already illustrious craft scene. Only a short walk from Homertonoverground station, BrewDog Homerton will be found at 23-25 Homerton High Street, E9 6JP.

James Watt continued:

“2016 has been another rollercoaster year for BrewDog - we’ve expanded our Ellon HQ, our Ohio-based brewery is weeks away from rolling out its first test batches, and our US Equity For Punks programmehas already raised $3m via 3,000 awesome new investors. We’re not even done checking 2016 off the list; we have more openings, exciting collabs and exclusive early access to some new releases for our Equity Punks before the new year rolls in. Bring it on, 2017.”

BrewDogHomerton will also offer festive seasonal favorites Santa Paws and Hoppy Christmas. The 4.5%ABV Scotch Ale and powerful 7.2%ABV Simcoe single-hopped IPAare the perfect antidote to the chilly festive season.

Over50,000 shareholders have invested more than £26million over four rounds ofBrewDog’sEquity for Punks to date, which is more money taken through crowdfunding than any other business on record. The money raised isfunding new bar openings across the globe, including sites in Dalston and York, and a new brewery in Ohio, USA. Equity Punks get access to exclusive bar launches before the general public, and will be sneaking in for a preview this evening (Thursday 1st December), prior to the public opening tomorrow (Friday 2nd December)

What is BrewDog?

Since 2007 BrewDog has been on a mission to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. From the Headliner series, which includes bold, uncompromising pack leaders like the flagship Punk IPA, to the Amplified range (beer, but turned up to 11), BrewDog creates beer that blows people’s minds and has kick-started a revolution.

Cofounders James Watt and Martin Dickie shook up the business world in 2009 with the launch of pioneering crowdfunding scheme Equity for Punks, an initiative that has seen the company raise £26m over four rounds, taking more money through crowdfunding than any other on record. The funds, and the army of punk shareholders (50,000) enabled the Scottish craft brewery to scale up without selling out.

With over 47 global bar launches, export into 60 countries, and a brand new brewery in Ohio opening in 2017, BrewDog continues to take the craft beer revolution stratospheric, whilst continuing to push the boundaries, invest in people, put the beer first, and champion other small breweries in its venues.
