NCFE Maths Level 2 Unit Y/505/2754: Working with Decimals & Percentages
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to improve their Maths, whether it is to boost your job prospects by gaining a qualification, helping your children with their Maths homework or to top up your existing skills and qualifications.
What does the course cover?
You will learn how to:
·  round decimals to different degrees of accuracy
·  recognise and use equivalences between fractions, decimals and percentages
·  carry out calculations with decimals up to 3 decimal places and percentages using written methods, short cuts and a calculator
·  calculate percentage increases and decreases
·  solve simple interest problems
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed informally throughout the course to check on your progress. At the end of the course, you will complete an NCFE written assessment.
Will I get a qualification?
On successful completion you will achieve a level 2 NCFE qualification in Working with Decimals & Percentages.
What can I do next? Is there a progression route?
You can progress on to a different aspect of the level 2 curriculum or apply for a job.
Are there any entry requirements?
You will need to come for an initial assessment before starting a Maths course. This is so we can find the right course for you.
How long does the course last?
This is 2 hours x 6 weeks course.
