Date: is Thursday 21st August 2014 1pm – 4pm but the room booked from 1pm – 5pm.
Confirmed attendance from: SDDC Lewis Adams (will bring blendavenda, do simple health checks, games for kids), Stop Smoking Service – Carol Wynn, Living with Long Term Conditions – Sue Robinson.
Still awaiting to hear from: Waistwise – Martyn Shore. Village Hall the date booked is Thursday 21st August 2014 1pm – 4pm but the room will be booked from 1pm – 5pm.
Yolo unfortunately will not be able to make this date and Linda Starkey has passed on her apologies. Staff from Newhall Surgery will be available: PS/TP/JML and JP.
Other things on the day: table top sale (Sylvia’s neighbor has lots of items), black out, teas and coffees.
Promotion of the event – through posters (need to be created) on the sandwich board at the village hall, posters around the village, Burton Mail and Swadlincote Post – plus any other areas we can think of. Small leaflets (need to be created) can be handed out in the surgery by PRG volunteers.
Bran tub for lucky dip for the children and bags of sweets at 20p a bag to be organized by Sylvia. Other ideas suggested hopscotch and “cover a coin” – JP looking into.
If anyone has any unwanted gifts/gift set/toys/ornaments/clothes/children clothes bring in asap
Conclusions / Suggestion made to trial putting leaflets on seats once leaflet is produced. Discuss further at next meeting – Thursday 31st July @ 2pm.

PRG Relaunch – Coffee Morning

Date and venue booked – 26/6/14 from 9.30am – 12.30am (event to run from 10am – 12noon)
Agreed that this would be an open morning and not a meeting. Leaflets have been designed reflecting what the PRG has achieved and plans for the future with a slip for interested parties to fill in.
Display boards will be supplied by the CVS (info to display – Registrar, No. 50, Past PRG and Future PRG) – TP/PS to collect. Free tea and coffee to be available on the day
Who is attending? What jobs are required on the day? When will the presentation boards be dressed and with what info?
Conclusions / JP/SH/SC/LS and possibly NS plus surgery staff (PS/TP and JML)
Jobs on the day will be to give out free tea and coffee and talk to anyone interested in the PRG, telling them about what we have done as the PRG and what we are planning going forward. Leaflets to be handed out for tear off slip if interested.
Presentation boards will be collected by 17/6/14 and the group have been asked to come in to dress the boards with relevant information which will be printed out in readiness. Meeting arranged for Weds 18th June @2pm

Copies of audited accounts now available and given out during the meeting.
Money to be spent before the 26th June’s PRG relaunch – decision to be reached on what the money will be spent on down to the last penny. See separate sheet for agreement with signatures.
Stan and Tracy are the remaining signatories for the Newhall PPG account and will therefore need to sign the cheques when required. The account will then be closed.
How will we tell patients about what we have purchased?
An email was read out to the group from BG – BG will receive a flyer in due course.
Conclusions / Agreed on the purchases which will be defib, paediatric pulse oximeters and nurse bags.
Agreed that we will notify the patients on how the money was spent via a flyer titled “Patients have spoken”
Purchases to be made straightaway now that agreement has been reached and remaining funds to be split equally between the 4 charities.

Discussion / CQC Visit – 11/6/14
The surgery had a re-inspection by a CQC inspector – Mark Belaney and we are pleased to announce that the two minor areas we were picked up on previously have now been signed off. We should be issued with a new updated report in due course.

3 new services which will be available either at a room within Newhall Surgery or at No 50 were discussed giving patients better accessibility to services they may require
