Enjoy a friendly music-filled weekend at the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa. Come to concerts and workshops by two couples known for their fine singing and harmonies: Larry Hanks and Deborah Robins, fine performers of traditional American music, and Emma’s Revolution –Pat Humphries and Sandy O, esteemed singer songwriters of peace and justice. Also appearing are Sarah Underhill, the “Woman Bard” of the Hudson Valley,John Krumm, singer, instrumentalist and contra dance caller, and many others. A campers’ concert invites everyone to perform. There is plenty of opportunity for informal jamming and singing, socializing, hiking, and relaxing with convenient hotel rooms, good food, and resort facilities.

Larry Hanks and Deborah Robins Hanks bring warmth, charm and depth to cowboy and work songs, topical and political songs, and traditional American ballads. Deborah’s lovely alto and rhythm guitar compliment Larry’s resonant bass voice, his spare tasteful guitar playing (six and twelve string guitars), and his amazing Jew’s harp. Their straightforward presentation embodies the best of traditional folk/roots music.

Emma’s Revolution (Pat Humphries and Sandy O), create lyrical songs about environmental protection, migrant farm workers, labor equity, GLBT rights, women's equality, family members of undocumented workers who died during 9/11, and world peace, and sing them so well that others can’t help singing them too. They have been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered" and Pacifica Radio's "Democracy Now!" for their inspiring songs and beautiful singing.

Sarah Underhill has an extensive repertoire of traditional song of Scotland, Ireland, Northern England and North America traditional and contemporary music. She is a regular participant in the Hudson River Revival.

John Krumm has been performing traditional music for 4 decades. While he is best known as a caller of square and contra dance, John also composes rounds and sings and plays guitar, fiddle, banjo, piano, and mandolin.
