My name is First & Last Name, and I am the Coordinator for the Nutrition Outreach and Education Program (NOEP) in XXXX (County or Boroughs). Agency Name is the recipient of the NOEP grant from Hunger Solutions New York.

As the NOEP Coordinator, I work on a daily basis to help low income residents in our community apply for SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. I am expertly trained in SNAP guidelines and regulations by Hunger Solutions New York, and I use my expertise to educate local residents about the benefits of the SNAP and assist them through the application process.

For many local residents, there is either a lack of knowledge about the benefits of SNAP, or in some cases, a stigma against the program. I regularly conduct community presentations and ongoing outreach messages to convey a positive perception of the program, and educate potentially eligible households how to apply. My outreach efforts include posters, flyers, & promotional items. I target specific populations such as seniors, veterans, working families with children, and unemployed households.

I am able to provide a free and confidential prescreening to let a household know if they may be potentially eligible for SNAP, and for how much. I also assist them with gathering the necessary documents for the application, completing the application, and following up with the Department of Social Services or HRA Site to ensure that each client receives their SNAP benefits in a timely manner.

I also provide education to the greater community about the economic benefit of SNAP to local businesses. Last year, the local NOEP generated $XXX in SNAP revenue that was directly invested into our local grocers, bodegas, and farmers markets by low income residents. Families were better able to afford nutritious foods, and businesses were better able to hire and maintain employees. During recovering economic times, NOEP is truly a win-win for our community.
