New Testament Reflection (Due Date: Friday, May 26)
Instead of a final exam, you will reflect on what we have studied over the course of the year. Answer the following questions on a separate sheet. You may write your answers in pencil or dark ink, or you may type them out and submit a hard copy. As you answer each question, be sure of the following:
Responses reveal careful thought and contemplation.
Responses are specific and detailed.
Complete sentences are used in all responses.
This assignment will be worth TWO test grades.
- What are your impressions of the New Testament now, compared to when we started our study last September?
- What class activities or discussions have meant the most to you in this time of study?
- Which book or books of the New Testament would you like to return to for further reading and study? Explain why.
- What Bible version, or Bible resource (books, apps, etc.) would you like to have in order to aid your study of the Bible?
- Identify a Bible study group outside of school or a family member with whom you regularly read the Bible. If you do not belong to a Bible study group or read the Bible with someone in your family, with whom would you like to start reading and studying the Bible?
- How has our New Testament study made you want to revisit the Old Testament?
- What particular Old Testament passages or book(s) would you like to read and study?
- Write out three verses that give some detail about a person who has salvation. Each verse should be from a different book of the New Testament.
- Write out three verses that give some detail about how God helps us in this earthly life. Each verse should be from a different book of the New Testament.
- Write out three verses that describe God’s forgiveness. Each verse should be from a different book of the New Testament.
- Write out three verses that describe God’s judgment. Each verse should be from a different book of the New Testament.
