New project for funding

Hello everyone,

I would like to put up a new project proposal for one time funding of INR 90000.

Name:Kiranam

Type of school:Special education for mentally challenged

Purpose: Construct an additional room for Therapy

Recurring : No (one time)

Kiranamis the organization that holds the FCRA account and we have been routing funds for Ashayam project.

During my India trip I have visitedKiranamschool and they are full fledged school and number of disabled children are being trained.Kiranam's founder Ramesh is supporting this venture full time. They have constructed building to host the students and have therapy rooms. As some of the disabled children are finding it difficult to climb the stairs, they want to add additional room for Therapy on the ground floor and are looking for funds. The request is genuine and they are already providing education to many disabled children.

If you all or ok wiht it I will create the project on Asha site and submit the checklist. Please let me know if you have any questions or need more information.

There are still surplus funds from the pool raised for Ashayam and we can utilize that for part of the requested amount.

Absolutely..
I actually visited both the campuses and met Ramesh garu and Mrs.
Radha garu and was quite impressed with all the work they were doing
in rehabilitation, speech therapy etc. Took my mom, aunts and my
sister too... have all the pictures...
Thank you for bringing such a noble project to the table, I am 100%
with you and will do whatever is needed to raise funds...

I have visited Ashyam project with my old sprint colleague(Raj Mudraganam)who moved permanently to India. Mr. Ramesh came overwe spoke with him..

Mr. Ramesh said they are having issue of retaining the special educator and hearing Impairment teachers.I heard the same issue from Ashayam and Spandana institutes too.

Two parents who send their kids to Kirnam institutewant to do B.ED Special Education and B.ED (Hearing Impairment) from SWEEKAR INSTITUTE FOR HANDICAPPED Institution.

For that course they have to pay 80,000 Rs per candidate initiallyand 20 K per each year.

Me and Raj Mudraganam decided to pay 20 K per year for each candidate if they get some on who can sponsor 80K the initial fees. Hope this will solve the issue at least after 4 years.

And I told Mr. Ramesh the candidates should help Ashayam and Spandana institutes too.

I will help raising the funds for additional room for Therapy forkiranaminstitute.
