Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic and Firefighter/EMT Positions
The Erlanger Fire/EMS Department is seeking motivated individuals with exceptional work ethic to fill positions of Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic and Firefighter/EMT. The shift is a 24/48 (24-on/48-off) rotation. We are looking to potentially hire nine (9) individuals for the upcoming fiscal year. In addition, we will establish an eligibility list from which future hiring will take place.
The position requires personnel with a minimum firefighter certification as a Kentucky Firefighter or equivalent, Kentucky EMT or Paramedic (must be Kentucky EMT or Paramedic prior to hire date). Candidates must successfully complete written testing, oral interviews, medical hands-on testing, background checks, and a post-job-offer physical with drug screen. Candidates must also possess a valid CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Testing) certification (within the past year) at time of application. The written test will be a combined Firefighter and EMT or Paramedic exam and will be taken from the Essentials Manual Fifth Edition and based upon the National Registry and Education Standards. The written test will be held May 31, 2014 at 10:00am at Erlanger Fire/EMS Central Headquarters.
