Thursday9 AM – noon
(registration & breakfast 8:15 AM) / Seminar: “Communication Strategies for Facility Teams” -- Celeste M. Warner, Corporate Trainer, Motivational Speaker, Executive Life Coach. 3CEUs
This hands-on interactive program will enable you to look at the internal communications among staff members in a whole new light. This program fosters a much clearer understanding of those team members who are “different” than we are. As leaders, we can see why communications problems can easily happen and we can help our team members re-think their approach to people with different styles than their own. Program participants will learn to help their teams through these challenges.
Thursday noon – 1 PM / Buffet Lunch sponsored by PharMerica
Thursday 1 – 4 PM / Seminar: “Disaster Preparedness for Crisis Situations” – Mark Libby, RN/Paramedic with top secretclearance for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. 3 CEUs
Mark will be presenting with Tom Kilday of the Rhode Island Department of Public Health to present a case review of the response to Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana as well as an overview of National Disaster Medical System. Mark’s expertise in crisis communication and evacuation planning will give you specific insight for incident command principles on local, state, and national levels. Mark’s interaction with Federal Emergency Medical Response to natural disasters; acts of terrorism; and public health emergencies will prove to be an extremely valuable resource for your facility operations.
