With 2015 drawing to a close Easykart UK are already flat out preparing for the 2016 Easykart UK British Championships!

Here are some brief items of news and some changes for the 2016 season. More details will be included in our Official publication of the 2016 Easykart UK technical and Sporting regulations due out in January 2016.

New Easykart UK central hub office:

For 2016 Easykart UK will have a new central office 01527 889595 and email contact This office will now handle all admin for all the Easykart UK races, Easykart information and queries as well as being your contact point for Easykart karts, spare parts and engine servicing.

2016 Easykart Championship registrations are open!

You must register for the 2016 Championship via www.easykart.co.uk and join the exclusive Easykart UK private log in area for future race entries, race tyre orders, track maps and set up guides.

Easykart Masters 2016 grid:

For 2016 Easykart UK will run one grid only for Easykart Masters – if you know this is going to be your chosen category it’s important you register now!

2016 Easykart Class weights and age dispensations:

For 2016 the Easykart cadet class weight will reduce by 1kg and will now be 106kg for driver and kart combined at the end of a race.

The minimum driver weight for Easykart cadet will now be 25kgs.

A cadet driver may be given age dispensation to stay in Easykart cadet if he or she is unable to achieve the minimum driver weight for Easykart Junior (40kgs) for a maximum of 1 year. Drivers aged 7 and in the year of their 8th birthday will be the minimum age requirement for Easykart cadet.

Easykart UK 2016 Saturday practice – Live timing!

Although Saturday practice is not mandatory to attend, 2016 will see Official live timing being obligatory (for Free Practice sessions) FP4 and FP5 for all drivers testing on a Saturday afternoon. Sessions FP1, FP2, FP3 will be untimed.

Live commentary and analysis of these sessions will be covered by JohnVigor and the live timing screen. This will enable you to see how you are fairing against your rivals ahead of Sundays race with on the spot grid questions from JV to see what you are up to!

Easykart UK engine servicing: ACR Ltd Sole engine builder for 2016

It is already obligatory for all Easykart Cadet Engines to be serviced by ACR Ltd.

For 2016 this will also now apply to Easykart Junior, Senior lights and Masters engines.

98% of Easykart UK engines are already serviced by ACR Ltd. However due to a few isolated incidents with other engine builders we have now decided that all engines in Easykart UK must be serviced / rebuilt by ACR Ltd in 2016.

This decision is to ensure and maintain a high level of service and quality to our clients and above all a legal and level playing field in Easykart UK.

Costs for engine rebuilds will remain fixed for 2016 offering a high quality service and great value for money compared to other companies in the UK karting market.

Early notification for 2017 change for Easykart Junior rear axle:

For 2017 the Easykart Junior axle size will change to 40mm. The current 30mm axle will continue to be used in 2016 however it will be obligatory to use the 40mm rear axle only from 2017.
