There are two cohorts in MS Business Analytics every year: Moraga Cohort and Silicon Valley Cohort. This course is delivered in person for the Moraga Cohort and delivered online for the Silicon Valley Cohort.

  1. Brief explanation of why the change or new course is being requested.

Due to the addition of a new course “cloud computing”, the course load of “data visualization and storytelling” is reduced from 4 units to 2 units. Since the launch of the Business Analytics program two years ago, we have been collecting feedback from the instructors and students on how to improve the program. To maximize the learning opportunity, one of the changes is to change the sequence of the courses, which leads to the change of the course delivery method. Since one course will be taught online in the Silicon Valley cohort every quarter.

This course will be taught in person for the students in Moraga cohort and online for the students in Silicon Valley cohort.
