New Consultant Checklist TO DO’s!

  1. Make a Contact list … Start with the people who love you most and work from there. With at least 20-100 people! “Wedding List” - Who would you invite to your wedding? - Do not prejudge just write them down!
  2. Star * 6 people off of your contact list that you would like to share the Mary Kay opportunity with. We will setup sharing trainings with them so you can learn how to share the opportunity. Team building is essential … and you’ll receive a LOVE check from the company every month based off of their successes! - First week as a brand new consultant- get your first team member! … its TRADITION!

Script to setup a sharing trainings with Heather-

“ Hi Sally! I hope you’re doing great, I was just thinking about you … and I know this is totally random however I am so excited because I just started a Mary Kay business and for my training I have to learn how to share the Mary Kay job opportunity with 6 women. Whether or not you’d be interested in something like this I have to learn how to share! Would you be willing to help me out with my training?” - after they respond with YES contact Heather!

3. Book your “POWER START” - See 30 faces in 30 days! - Give yourself as much practice as possible…. When you see faces and practice on as many people as possible you’ll become a master at selling and team building!

Script to setup a POWER START-

“ Hi Sally! I hope you’re doing great, I was just thinking about you and I know this is totally random however I just started my Mary Kay business and I am so incredibly EXCITED. I have to see 30 faces in the next 30 days for my training would you be willing to help me out with that?”

What do the have to do?

“Thanks so much for getting back to me! All it is, is an instructional facial with a quick makeup application. Does that sound like something you could help me with?”

4. Figure out your MARY KAY SCHEDULE… When do you want to make a habit of working your Mary Kay. You cannot treat this business like a hobby or it’ll pay you like one. You won’t make money if you aren’t consistent. So making sure you pick your hours and stick to them!

5. Do you want a store? - Having product on hand is essential to having a PROFESSIONAL business- Mary Kay does not make it an obligation however if you cant afford it I’ll help you earn it! - Don’t miss out on all the incredible FREE bonuses the company gives you for just starting your store and being a professional business woman. - $600 - Friends and Family Bundle.

- $1200- Part time - 2-4 hrs a week.

- $1800- Partime- 4-6 hrs a week.

- $2400- Partime- 6-8 hrs a week.

- $3000- Full Time- 8-10 hrs a week

- $3600- Full time- 10-12 hrs a week.

6. Debut Party - Schedule your Debut Party! - Inviting your closest family members and friends to join you at you “coming out” party for your Mary Kay business- Depending on what you decide on product your recruiter or myself will come help you with your FIRST big party!

Debut Party Script:

“Hi Sally, this is Heather Shively! I hope you are doing well I was just thinking about you and I figured I’d reach out to you! I am so incredibly excited because I just started my new Mary Kay business and I have to practice on 30 women this month for my training. I am having a debut party coming up and it would mean the world to me if you came! Would you be willing to come help me out with my training?!”

When they say yes:

Great! Thank you so much for being so willing to help me out! The debut is on (DATE) at (TIME). Does that work good for you? YES- Great I cannot wait to see you! I’ll send you a reminder a few days prior, thank you again for being willing to help me out!

If they cannot attend:

“Aw! That’s too bad would of loved to have you there! Would you still be willing to setup a separate day with me to still help me finish my 30 face training?”

When they say yes:

“Great! Thank you for still being willing to help me out! What days typically work best for you weekdays or weekends?

Figure out the date, time and place then CONFIRM put in the date book!

****After you have confirmed the appointment with them… turn the appointment into a party by saying at the end of the conversation****

“ Oh! By the way go ahead and bring a couple friends to join you so that I can get extra practice and finish my 30 faces faster… who can you think of to bring?”

Please complete this checklist! - Keep track of everyone you’ve reached out to and remember FOLLOWING up is KEY. - Just because they don’t get back to you doesn’t mean they aren’t interested in helping you out!

Debut Party TO DO’s:

Invite up to 30 people. 18 & OLDER. You’ll find half will say yes and half will come! So if you’d like 8-10 people to show you’ll want to make sure you’re working numbers! - Invite family and close friends.

Scroll to the very bottom … and all the hand outs are available. - Have the Tray Inserts, the Marketing Flier - Recruiting flier front and back! - (Printed in Color) Laminate the Marketing Flier/Recruiting flier.

Purchase mini spray bottles, round cotton swabs for eyes, pens, disposable sponges for foundation. I bought mine from target!

Please dress professionally- people are entrusting you with their beauty needs … this means a dress, skirt, dress pants.

Download Propay- or Square so that you can take credit card payments!

Please instruct everyone we will be starting on TIME promptly at the time directed. We want to make sure we are being respectful of everyones time.

Important Information

Ladies Nights Out- Every Monday evening at 7:15 pm we all gather together for incredible night of bonding and training! There is ALWAYS snack! $3 at the door - Please bring a 3 ring binder as well as a pen! This is where you will learn how to RUN a business… This is essential to you and your growth in your business. If you’d like to hold a personal appointment/facial prior to meeting you may invite guests to attend. Bring your starter kit and supplies. Arrive no later than 6:15pm setup for your facial and meeting will begin at 7:15pm. * Your first week I ask that you attend your first meeting with a face model! - A friend someone that loves you that’ll support you and your business.- You’ll also be taking the new consultant oath as well as receiving your first piece of Mary Kay Jewelry.

Muffins and Makeovers- Every Saturday we have something called Muffins and Makeovers! Starts at 10am .. We hold a clinic where customers and potential team members can attend to experience Mary Kay! Sales Directors run the clinic and you can come observe to learn how to run a proper party! - I ask that you do attend a Muffins and makeovers the first or second week of joining us so that you can become familiar with the ropes! - You must bring your own starter kit and supplies $5 at the door!

Plan on attending all company events! - This is so incredibly important to keep the heart beat of your business thriving as well as allows you to build friendships and confidence in your ability to become a better consultant!
