Welcome to the NerdNation 2014 Scavenger Hunt brought to you by Pearson. How many Scavenger Hunt items can your Phi Theta Kappa chapter team capture in 17 hours? Each item is worth a point value. The three teams with the most points at the end of the hunt will each win a cash gift card and a trophy to share with their local Phi Theta Kappa chapters.
Grand Prize: Pizza Party for your chapter
First Place: $75 Visa Gift Card + trophy
Second Place: $50 Visa Gift Card + trophy
Third Place: $25 Visa Gift Card + trophy
All prizes will be awarded at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 2014 at the Pearson booth in the Phi Theta Kappa NerdNation 2014 Marketplace.
IT’S EASY TO PLAY.
You may photograph scavenger hunt items in any order. However, you must designate one student on your team as the official NerdNation Scavenger Hunt photographer. This helps even out the playing field since some Phi Theta Kappa chapters have fewer members attending NerdNation than others.
WAIT… THERE’S A GRAND PRIZE DRAWING TOO?
Additionally, each team to score 100 points or more will qualify for a chance to win the grand prize -- a pizza party, valued at $100, for your Phi Theta Kappa chapter. The grand prize will be awarded according to a random drawing after the close of the hunt. A team representative must be present at the drawing to win. The grand prize drawing will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 2014 in the Marketplace.
About the Hunt
The Phi Theta Kappa NerdNation 2014 Scavenger Hunt starts Friday, April 25th 2014 at 7:00 a.m. and ends Friday, April 25th 2014 at 11:59 p.m. Participants can register for the hunt, starting April 4 2014, by downloading the “Scavenger Hunt with Friends LITE” mobile app (for free) to their Android or iPhone mobile device.
Joining the NerdNation Scavenger Hunt
To join the hunt, simply:

- Join the Hunt
Open the app, create a username (this must be your Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Name) and password of your choosing, and search for the “NerdNation” hunt.
- Play
Once the hunt begins on April 25 2014 at 7:00 a.m., you will be able to see the list of items and begin uploading your photos.

Rules
●Students must complete their hunt by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 25 2014 to qualify for a prize.
●Students must work as a team using one mobile device to capture the hunt items.
●Photo submissions depicting violations of the Phi Theta Kappa Constitution will result in disqualification and possible further disciplinary action.
●In the event of a tie for first, second, or third place, the Pearson NerdNation event staff will vote to determine the winner--creativity counts!
