Web-Based Private Aid to Navigation

Management System

This presentation portrays a series screen/form upgrades for the Web-Based PATON Management System.. Please review each screen/form and each field. The scope of this analysis is extensive and has at its basis for the standardization of fields, field names and any associated menus, and the creation of a more user-friendly screens and systems.

Your input to this project is critical to its success. I am trying to eliminate all possible do-overs and also want to insure that we have covered all of the prior user complaints. Most of you are users. Take the time to review the suggested updates and supply your suggestions and corrections. Forward them to the DSO-AN at .

Thanks in advance for your support.

Explanations of color codes used in this system analysis:
Brown Number – i.e. 4. – References the sequence of the field on the screen/form. Do not show this reference number on any screen/form.
Blue Number – i.e. (5) – References the field to the “System Field Where-Used Master List” below. This field number is shown wherever the field is used throughout the system s reference only. Do not include this number on any screen or report. The purpose of this exercise is to identify each field and it usage throughout the system, standardize the names, and to insure that there is a clear understanding of the use of each field. Do not show this reference number on any screen/form.
Black Print – Simply, this is information about the field as I understand it to be currently used. There is no change required for copy identified with black print.
Red Print – Indicates that some programming change is required.
Green Print – These are questions and needed clarification for the DPW.
Dark Blue Print – User instructions for use in a future study guide and procedure.
