The training Sessions

The NCAST PCI training offers health professional’s in-depth training in the use of the PCI feeding & teaching scales.

The PCI scales are a reliable and valid means of observing and rating the caregiver-child interaction for the purpose of assessing a dyad’s strengths and areas that need improvement. The scales are used as pre and post test measures and contain a well-developed set of observable behaviours that describe caregiver-child communication and interaction during either a feeding or teaching situation.

The training will guide learners through the process of understanding the use and benefits of using the scales in clinical practice as well as support in achieving reliability as certified by NCAST Programs at the University of Washington, Seattle USA
