ACTIVITY REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JULY 2017

The kindergarteners have now adjusted very well with the school routine. The month of July brought with it a new bunch of activities and excitement.The whole school participated with enthusiasm.

FRUIT CHAAT MAKING:

A fruit chat making activity was held for the UKG children on 3rdJuly to inculcate the habit of eating healthy food in which consumption of fruits play an integral role.

RAINY SEASON

Rainy season special morning was conducted for UKG children in the morning assembly. Teachers discussed about the rainy season, clothes worn, weather condition, type of food eaten etc. with the children.

COLLAGE ACTIVITY

Collage activity on Shapes and Colours was done for LKG children on 12th July. Children learnt about shapes and colour in a fun way.

Collage activity on Healthy food and Junk food was done for UKG children on 24thJuly. The children learnt about healthy food and junk food. The teachers emphasized on eating healthy food

“PLAY WITH COLOURS” COLOURING ACTIVITY

A colouring activity was held on 14thJuly for both LKG and UKG wing. It was wonderful to see the children use their imagination to bring out the best from the rainbow of colours. The activity was judged by Mrs.PushpaJamgaonkar, Mrs. RupiBains and Mrs. SandhyaIyer for NSB. The activity in Dolphin Hill was judged by Mrs. Mrs. SheetalArzare, Mrs. Ruchi, Mrs. ArunaAgnihotri and Mrs. PriyaVinod.

SHAPES

Special morning on shapes was conducted for LKG children in the morning assembly on 17th July. Teachers showed cut outs of shapes and real objects/pictures of various shapes tochildren . Children enjoyed the assembly and learnt the shapes in a fun way.

“IMAGINATION” CLAY MODELLING ACTIVITY:

Clay Modeling activity was held on 20thJuly for both LKG and UKG children. The children enjoyed themselves moulding the clay into beautifully crafted objects. The activity was judged by Mrs.KrutikaGanesh, Mrs. Manju, Mrs. SmitaVinay and Mrs. Ankita in NSB.The activity in Dolphin Hill was judged by Mrs. Anita, Mrs. Greta D’Cunha, Mrs. Niti Sharma and Mrs. Arya Krishna.

PLANETARIUM SHOW:

A planetarium show was organised for all children through a mobile planetarium in the school premises on 21 and 24 Jul for KG NSB and on 25 and 26 Jul for KG DH. Children were shown horizon, apparent motion of the sky, phases of moon, constellations, solar system etc. to introduce them to the working of universe. All children were thrilled to travel through and witness the spellbinding wonders of the universe.

PTI MEETING FOR NSB / DH:

The Mid-term PTI was held on 27thJuly for DH and on 28thJuly for NSB to keep the parents abreast of their wards’ progress. Principal Dr Parul Kumar &HM Mrs. Swati Adak took rounds of the school and interacted with parents.

MOCK FIRE DRILL ACTIVITY:

To ensure readiness of the staff and familiarization of the school children with the procedure to meet any eventuality a mock fire drill was conducted on 31st July at KG NSB & DH. A brief procedure of the drill was handed over to teachers through circular. Circular also contained the specific duties to be carried out by each member of the staff during such an eventuality. At a pre decided time the school bell was rung continuously as an indication of commencement of the drill. All personnel carried out their duties as nominated in the circular. Teachers evacuated all students and gathered at an indicated area which was Kulkarni Park for LKG NSB, Open air Theatre for UKG NSB and School Main gate area for KG DH. Time taken for complete evacuation was recorded. Head count was taken and once everybody was accounted for the drill was completed.
