Nondisclosure Agreement
This nondisclosure agreement provides that endorsers of the document uphold confidentiality and privacy of particular information/documents/data to which they hold access and is mandatory for all personnel who access personnel files or records that contain Confidential Personal Information.
Definition of Confidential Personal Information: For purposes of this Agreement, "Confidential Personal Information" shall include all information that identifies an individual, including an individual’s social security number, driver license number, name, address, telephone number, date of birth, e-mail address, records of medical examination or medical condition and any other personally identifiable information not lawfully accessible from publicly available information.
Exceptions: This agreement does not restrict the release of Personal Information that is authorized by Naval Sea Cadet Regulations and such release that is required solely for the purpose of carrying out Naval Sea Cadet duties as assigned or required.
Many staff members have functions and responsibilities that require them to access information while supporting the Naval Sea Cadet Corps’ functions. This information includes such material as personnel data, performance reviews, adult staff and cadet records. This information can be in either electronic or hard copy formats. By accepting below, you understand and agree that authorization to access personalinformation of Naval Sea Cadets, their families and associated individuals as well as adult staff, is granted solely for the purpose of carrying out your duties in conducting Naval Sea Cadet business. You also agree that personal information contained in official personnel files may be shared only with other staff or others who have a need to know this information in order to perform their duties on behalf of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps. You also agree to request in advance, the consent of your Commanding Officer for the permission to disclose personal information to anyone else.
By accepting below, you further understand and agree that any right of public access under the law to Naval Sea Cadet record does not relieve you of the obligation to comply with the provisions of this Agreement. You also understand and agree that a violation or breach of this agreement for accessing personalinformation may result in disciplinary action, including termination. You understand and agree to be bound by the provisions of this agreement even after your tenure with the Naval Sea Cadet Corps has ceased.
