Work may be in any medium (e.g. painting, printmaking, sculpture, works on paper, mixed media, photography, digital, video, cartoons, unpublished illustrated books, tapestry, mosaics etc.)
Ist Overall Prize - $8,000 voucher for Solar products (panels, hot water services or batteries all installed) with Natural Technology Systems, Prospect (NTS)
or $1,000 in cash & 1 years RSASA membership.
4 Section prizes - Vouchers of $5,000for NTS.
or $200 cash
Peoples’ Choice prize - $4,000 voucher for NTS
4 Merits of $100 each an Aussi Animal Sanctuary board game or sponsored prizes
Prizes may be transferred to family or friends but must be taken up within 12 months & in SA or Broken Hill.

Sec 2Natural Technology Systems Prize-
Wild or Endangered Fauna or Flora
Sec 3 Environmentally Responsible People– Portraits or statuettes from life or generic portrayals of people taking environmentally responsible action
Sec 4 Illustrating public responsibility or climate change causes or actions to curb our carbon footprint
Work must be the artist’s original work, copies are unacceptable
THE PRIZES FOR ALL BUT PEOPLES’ CHOICE WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE OPENING.
THE PEOPLES’ CHOICE WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THE LAST DAY, AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING.
Submit 300DPI A4 photos of the work labelled on the back for selection, the catalogue and publicity (these can be collected at the close of the exhibition but no responsibility is accepted by the Solar Art Prize)
Entry Fees & Sizes
2D >1m2 including frame & 3D- 1m3 including stand =
$15 RSASA members $20 non members
larger worksup to 2m2 2D & 2x1x1 for 3D
$25 RSASA members or $30 non members
Oversize up to 3m2 for 2D = $50 for all artists
3D weight restriction is 75kg & must safely stand alone
2D work must be dry, have D rings & be professionally presented for hanging .
Cheque or Postal Order to The Solar Art Prize (POBox 721 North Adelaide 5006)
or cash at the RSASA desk
Selection & Judgingis anonymous by independent judges on merit & relevance- their decision is final.
Works will be offered for sale at the nominated price.
A 30% commission is retained by the Royal South Australian Society of Arts.
20 word statements can be placed in the catalogue but will not be part of the judging.
