MOSCOW BOROUGH’S ELEVENTH ANNUAL NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

AUGUST5, 2014- 6:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M.

“Lights on Means Lights Out For Crime” – Residents and businesses are asked to have “lights on”

to showtheir support for crime prevention on August 4thand5thby really lighting up their homes

or places of business. An award will be given for the “best lit” house or business!

Presentation of Awards: Moscow Borough “Citizen of the Year”, “Volunteer of the Year”, and “Moscow Pride and Progress” Awards.
Announcement of Poster & Essay Contest Winners: display of posters and essays with the theme “Say Bye to Crime and Hello to a Safe Borough”.
National Night Out Balloon Release: Everyone present is encouraged to participate. Accompanied by a Moscow Borough Police Bagpiper.
6:00 – 8:00 / Borough Building / *Police Department: child identification kits, fingerprinting, car seat safety checks available, RAD/r.a.d.KIDS self-defense/safety program handouts, Pinata, DUI Goggles, Lackawanna County SWAT team
6:00 – 8:00 / Borough Building and Local Businesses / Secret Raffle: Pick up a ticket at Raffle Basket location and check the participating locations below with an asterisk (*) to see if your number matches the number at the location. Prizes can be picked up at the Raffle Basket location.
6:00 – 9:00 / Borough Building / Raffle Baskets:Items donated by local businesses and organizations will be located at the Borough Building to be raffled off. Everyone who attends National Night Out will receive ten tickets. Anyone who donates pet food/animal supplies to benefit the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter will receive five extra tickets. Extra tickets may also be purchased by anyone who wishes to do so. **Winning tickets will be picked on Wednesday, 8/6/14 and winners notified by telephone.
