National NDIS Provider Forums – Registrations have opened

In February and March 2018 the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will be hosting a series of Provider Forums across Australia. The Forums will provide an opportunity for providers to hear the latest on the Participant and Provider Pathway review and the implementation of the Quality and Safeguards Commission. Participant pathway experience – find the latest news

The NDIA is committed to improving the experience people and organisations have with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). To keep you informed about the latest information and improvements, we have recently introduced a regular update page on the NDIS website.

Changes to the NDIS myplace portal – sharing your plan

The NDIA has recently made changes to the myplace participant portal which means participants and nominees now have the option to share parts of their plan with providers. To learn more about what information can be shared visit the NDIS website. A step-by-step myportal userguide and an Easy English explanation is also available.

Assistive Technology - market insights now available

The NDIA has released an Assistive Technology (AT) Market Insight which provides details on the supply and demand for AT as part of the NDIS for the financial year 2016-17. NDIS rollout continues

The NDIS continues to rollout across Australia this month. People with disability in new regions and age groups in Tasmania, Queensland and South Australia are now eligible to access the NDIS. Visit the NDIS website to learn more about the January 2018 rollout, including state specific factsheets, and more information about the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) and Local Area Coordination (LAC) Partners in the Community helping the NDIA deliver the NDIS in local communities across Australia.

$72 million for frontline NDIS services in South Australia

On Sunday 21 January, Minister for Social Services, Dan Tehan, announced an investment of more than $72 million to deliver frontline services in South Australia under the NDIS. Mr Tehan announced Baptcare and Mission Australia asPartners in the Community, supporting the implementation of the NDIS at a local community level.Read the media release on the NDIS website.
