National Course Questions and Answers 2012
Before the Interview
The cadet will report in full uniform. He/she will introduce him/herself to the Board. The board Chairperson will introduce members and will ask the cadet have a seat. (Remove your wedge)
Most likely the cadet will be nervous. In an effort to relax the cadet, the chairperson should initiate some small talk with the cadet. This could include the cadet being asked to tell members about him/herself, including;where they go to school, hobbies, interests, etc.
It should then be explained to the cadet that several cadets have applied for this course and that he/she will be asked questions by the board as a selection process to help determine who will be selected to attend the course being sought.
Remember to protect the cadet's self-esteem.
4 STAGES OF AN INTERVIEW
1.Have the cadet tell us about him/herself
2.The League Rep will ask a few questions on the Air Cadet League of Canada, National and Provincial levels; also some questions on local and national governments, and about events that have happened within the past year;
3.The Military Rep will present questions on the applicable course and possibly a few questions on current events, and;
4.It's now time for the cadet to convince the board members why he/she is the right candidate to be selected for that specificcourse.
After the Interview
Congratulate the cadet for having a good interview. Advise the cadet the interview team will be making recommendations to the Air Cadet League of Canada, where a National Selection Board will make the final decision. Ask the cadet if he/she has any questions. If none, wish him/her all the best in their cadet and school activities.

Try to know at least one event from each level as well as focus on any important, current events. Sometimes they will just ask you to describe a current event, other times they will ask about significant events (Canada Games, military events, etc.)

b. Perception and inclination towards “physical fitness” - understanding and involvement;
c. Comprehension and understanding of “Leadership” and its applications;
