There are still lots of activities and fun to be had in the Nashoba Districtfor families and children. If you are looking for fun activities to keep your children’s bodies and minds stimulated for the remainder of the summer, check out the many options below.

Bolton

The following activities will be held at the Bolton Library, 738 Main Street, Bolton, MA unless otherwise indicated.

Olympic Large marble painting – Thursday July 21 @ 11am. Ages 2-6. Registration required.

Brain Health Crafts– Tuesday, JUly 26th@3:30 – 4:30 pm, Registration required.

Bug Hunt - Wednesday July 27th,10:30am, Memorial Park & Playground, Wattaquadock Hill Rd., (across from the Police & Fire Station) Bolton.Join us for a Bug Scavenger Hunt. Come ready to hunt for bugs, along with stories and activities. *BRING A BLANKET AND A PICNIC* All Ages. (Rain date Thursday. If it rains Thursday, it will be held inside the Bolton Library.)

Storytime with Blade from Boston Bruins – Friday July 29th at 11 am. Ages 2+

MOVIE NIGHT- Tuesday, August 9, 6-7:30 PM.Soccer movie (rated PG) Kicking & Screaming, in the program room. All ages.

START THE YEAR OFF RIGHT – Thursday, August 25 @ 6:30 pm @ Florence Sawyer School, 100 Mechanic Street, Bolton. Jeanine Fitzgerald, Certified Human Behavior Consultant and Specialist, is back at parent’s request. She will start the yearly parenting series with a talk on “Resilience’. Research suggests children who have this inner strength are more likely to be successful in school and life. What can parents do to nurture these inner strengths in our children?

ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, READ – Summer reading program runs through August 12th for all ages 0-12. Win weekly prizes. Stop by the library for more information.

Storywalk - Thursday August 11th @10:30am. Join us for a Storywalk with a book from a local artist, “Hold This.” As we walk and read the story, we will discover treasures around us. *BRING A BLANKET AND A PICNIC* and stay for lunch. All ages welcome. (rain or shine)

Thomas the Tank Engine Playgroup – Friday, July 29 @ 10:30 – 12:00 pm & August 12, 1-2:30 pm. Come and join your friends and neighbors for stories, crafts and playtime on tracks with Thomas and Friends Engines. All ages welcome.

RIVERFRONT CHILDREN’S THEATRE - August 5 @1 pm. Riverfront Children’s Theatre creates Theatre for and with children. Join us for an afternoon of improvisation, song, movement, costumes, and crazy props.

DIANA KORDAS PUPPETS - August 16 @2 pm .Come listen to3 classic stories including silliness, laughs and audience participation will make this fun for the whole family while learning healthy fitness tips.

WORLD CLASS FRISBEE SHOW with Todd Brodeur- August 18 @ 3 pm. Frisbee show and interactive play shop Learn how to stay active through life by playing disc sports. Ages 5+

LEGO CLUB - EVERY WEDNESDAY- 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm

This is a weekly club -- Drop in when you can -- For ages 2 and up -- No need for the child to sign up

or bring anything -- we have all the Legos & ALSO Duplos for younger siblings! You can save your creations from week to week. Contact the library 978-368-8928 .

Birds of Prey - Tuesday August 10 @ 1 pm.Join Tom Ricardi at Randall Library for his fantastic "Birds of Prey" presentation. Tom is a wildliferehabilitatorwho runs a raptor rehabilitation center out of Conway, MA.He teaches with a diverse group of birds, which often includes a very playful Turkey Vulture and a beautiful Golden Eagle!He will share the fascinating natural history of these majestic and inspiring birds and demonstrate some of their unique behaviors and abilities. All ages.

ED MORGAN CHILDREN'S SINGER/SONGWRITER- August 16@1:30andAugust 26@10:30 . Ed Morgan is better known in the greater Boston area simply as "The Music Man". For over ten years Morgan has delighted kids and grown-ups alike with his interactive Children's songs (all ages)

Pond Walk – revisited – Thursday August 18, (rain date August 25) @ 10:30 am. Our June pond walk was such a success we have had requests to do it again. If you missed it in June we are giving you another chance to join us as we explore the wonders of pond life. It will be interesting to see if we discover any changes from June to August. I wonder if those tadpoles have turned into frogs? How big did they grow? There are lot’s of scientific discoveries to be made. We will meet at the Center School

Staff Parking Lot in the back of the school. Dress for a walk in the woods and water. Don’t forget the bug spray. All ages welcome.
