Introduction

• Mississippi’s government is considering budget cuts again. This time they are wondering if funding NASA Space Programs in Mississippi is worthwhile. Your team’s job is to convince our governor (Mrs. McElveen) and the congress (our class) that you believe supporting space exploration is important. You will show that if not for NASA’s Space Programs, both Mississippi and the rest of the world would be without many great discoveries that the space industry has provided.

Your Task

• Research NASA space programs.

• Share research with your team and come to an agreement.

• Create a power point.

• Present your team’s recommendations.

• Prove that NASA is necessary!
