NAPERVILLE CENTRAL H. S.

COMMENCEMENTRAIN INSTRUCTIONS

Dear Seniors and Parents:

This year, we will begin a new plan for holding Commencement in the event of rain. Instead of moving to the next day, we will hold it on the same day, inside, following the same time schedule. In order for this to be successful, we have specific instructions for all to follow to insure a safe and enjoyable evening for you, your guests and our graduates.

Two RED tickets will be given to each family of our graduates. When your student picks up their cap and gown they will sign for two REDtickets. If you have multiple children in the class, one of your students will sign for the tickets. These tickets will allow the ticket holder admittance to the MAIN GYM, where the ceremony will be LIVE. Due to seating restrictions, even small children will need a ticket to enter the main gym.

GRADUATES: At 6:00PM, graduates will enter through Door 10 – direct to the field house – No ticket required .

TICKET HOLDERS:From 6:00PM to 6:40PM, Ticket Holders may enter the building through DOOR 1, 8, 9, or 24. The entrance to the MAIN GYM will be open to ticket holders from 6:00PM to 6:40PM. The processional will start at approximately 6:45PM, and entrance to the gym will be restricted at this time.

From 6:40PM to 7:00PM, Door 9 will no longer be accessible. Ticket holders will be ushered through Hallway E and have access to the Main Gym balcony.

NON-TICKET HOLDERS:Open seating fornon-ticket holding guests to view the ceremony streamed* on video screens in the Auditorium, Little Theater, Adapted PE Gym and Cafeteria will be on a first come, first seated basis. Unsupervised minors are not allowed in the building. Please have your guests enter through the following doors:

Handicap seating is available in all these areas. Please see attached map with entrances marked.

We encourage parents to arrive at 6 PM with their seniors.Graduates, if you drive separately, please park in the visitor’s side of the stadium parking lot, leaving closer spaces for your parents.

As always, weather permitting, Commencement will be held in the Stadium with no restrictions on guest attendance.*Regardless of the weather, homebound friends and relatives can watch the ceremony streamed live via the Naperville Central High School website.
