EQUIPMENTGRANT
The Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation was awarded miscellaneous pieces of new boy’s equipment from US Lacrosse. (Rib Pads, elbow pads and Ball Retrievers)These are random pieces of equipment and will be divided up into 6 lots that will be awarded. The WLF received the equipment wit h the following restriction: The equipment can be used by a club or given to individual players but cannot be sold. The WLF will award this equipment with the same restrictions.
Application Process:
A WLF member league requesting financial/equipment assistance must submit a written proposal to the WLF Grants Director. This proposal must describe the association/club's need and intended use of the grant, including (if applicable):
  • names of the specific program, club, group to receive the benefits of the funding/equipment
  • contact information (name, email address phone number and postal address) of the benefitting program/club/group’s authorized representative(s).
  • details, including planned dates, times and locations, of developmental activities, programming, events, etc. the grant will be used for.
  • expected number of participants by age group and gender.
  • indicate whether the grant request for matching or non-matching funds
Approval of Grant Fund Disbursements:
The WLF Lacrosse Development Grants Committee (“Grants Committee”) shall review the proposal and determine if it is in compliance with this policy along with all other WLF and US Lacrosse rules and regulations. The Grants Committee may approve or rejecting the proposal in whole or in part. The Grants Committee will make their recommendation to the WLF Executive Committee.
The Grants Committee should consist of the following WLF Directors:
  • Grant Director (Chair)
  • New Programs Director
  • Boys Youth Director
  • Boys High School Director
  • Girls Youth Director
  • Girls High School Director
  • Treasurer
The WLF Executive Committee will review the Grant Committee’s recommendation and either ratify or reject it. If ratified, the WLF Treasurer is authorized to disburse the funds according the direct of the Grants Director. If rejected, the Executive Committee will advise the Grants Director the reason(s). The Grants Director may work with the requester to modify and resubmit the proposal if desired.
