B: Men’s/Women’s Instruction Programs

We are dedicated to providing the best possible golf learning experience at Name of Club. A comprehensive instruction program is in place that meets the facility’s needs. The Professional Staff works with Name of Club golfers on the practice green, the lesson tee and out on the golf course. Our comprehensive program encompasses:

Individual Golf Instruction:

Custom Club Fitting Program:

Properly fitted golf clubs can contribute greatly to making golf more enjoyable. To achieve our goal of properly fitting our students with the correct golf equipment, we use a comprehensive club fitting system. It is our belief that the fitting systems offered should not be limited to one manufacturer, because every golfer is unique.

On a daily basis, the teaching staff is available for individual club fittings for our members. In 20XX, our club fitting program will include the following manufacturer systems:

5.  Help our students set attainable, but elevated, goals for their individual golfing ability.

6.  Educate our students on the causes and effects in their golf swing, which will enable them to self-evaluate their swing mid-round to maximize their scoring potential and minimize the repetition of mistakes.

7.  Teach our students how to transfer the skills they learn in our lessons to the golf course through playing lessons.

C: Junior Golf Instruction

The Junior Golf Instruction Program is designed to energize youngsters to enjoy the game. New techniques for engaging and teaching young golfers continue to emerge, and we make a point of adopting the best ones.

Review of 2008:

The Junior Program in 2008 was very successful—in part because it accommodated the numerous non-golf activities that children engage in throughout the summer. The programs are designed to be flexible so that children can participate when they are available.

This year several initiatives were implemented in an effort to provide increased service to our students, make the facility more efficient and generate incremental revenue streams.

Purpose of Position:

Contribute to the attainment of the member’s overall enjoyment of the facility and the game by:

v  Recruiting and retaining a high quality teaching staff that successfully serves the needs of all users of the facility.

Junior Golf – the future of this facility and the game itself is dependent on fostering our juniors to become lifelong golfers. The Director of Instruction implements the following for our juniors:

Non-Member Lessons

Exposing non-members to the facility can be an important benefit to members who want to expose friends or business associates to the game. Non-members who take lessons often become the best candidates for future membership openings. While the members will always have priority for all lesson times, the Director of Instruction and our other teaching staff will teach a limited number of non-members only on a space available basis. All non-members will be told in advance that they will have to reschedule if a member wants that particular lesson time.

As part of this job description I will be responsible for tracking monthly and annual budgets for our instruction programs and will make periodic reports to the head golf professional and to the facility’s management as necessary throughout the year.
