Task Analysis

1. Have someone gather all of the items that are going to be used.

2. Spread out the items on a surface that can easily be seen by all of the participants.

3. Go over all of the objects so that everyone is aware of and knows what each one is. (Include different shapes, colors, textures so that no two objects appear to be similar or get “lost” in the mix.)

4. Give all players a minute to study and try to memorize all of the items.

5. Once the minute is up, cover the items with a cloth so that they can no longer be seen.

6. Give all players/teams a time limit (i.e. 5 min) to try and recall as many of the objects that they can. Have them write them down on a piece of paper. Ask each group to select one person to write down the answers on one piece of paper, encouraging all players to contribute response.

7. Once time is up, make sure all players have put their writing utensils down and then uncover the items again and go through them one by one, having players/teams make a note of which objects they did and did not have on their list.

8. Whoever has the most recalled items at the end, wins!
