Our 2nd complete boy’s class to come thru the system was a great group that will feature several college players. This year’s team finished with a 23-14 record despite the fact that we only played with our full roster in 2 events all year long. They won the 8th annual Greater Midwest Showdown outside St. Louis and finished second in the BCI Memorial Day Super Slam outside Cincinnati. Jared Gray won MVP honors in St. Louis. Jared joined Zach Adams on the all tournament team. Jared and Aaron Harbstreit were named all tournament team in Cincinnati. Other high lights included a pair of semi final appearances at the NIKE GRASSROOTS SHOOTOUT and the U.S.S.S.A. Nationals in Ft. Wayne at the end of the summer. Seth Coy dominated several games with his inside presence and Aaron Harbstreit did an outstanding job defensively all year. In fact, he completely shut down a Louisville recruit at Eddie Ford’s Hoopsfest in Louisville during the recruiting period.

The core of this group has completed their 3rd year together and although their record may not have been what they were seeking several of their performances were! Having completed their year with a 19-11 record, they can reflect highly on their winning the Greater Midwest Classic in St. Louis (Completely dominated that event and Kreig Oxley was Tournament MVP), a pair of championship game appearances at the NIKE GRASSROOTS SHOOTOUT and The Hoopsfest (Bronze division) tournament in Louisville, during the NCAA viewing period. With several players also playing baseball it was rare that the entire team was able to play together at many tournaments. We know the core of this group to be back next year, but also knowing their will be a few strong additions to the team as well.

This was a completely new assembled team that suffered a few early season set backs (both on and off the court), but came on very strong at the end of the year! They compiled a 32-18 record, winning the BCI Mid East Jam Fest outside Cincinnati (Trevor Miller, Matt Babrick, and Ryan Helfert made the All Tournament Team), a U.S.S.S.A. national qualifier in Belleville, IL, and won the Summer High School League at EBA. They also competed in the NIKE GRASSROOTS SHOOT OUT; the ADIDAS MAY CLASSIC, The Greater Midwest Classic in St. Louis, and the Hoosier Shootout in Indianapolis during the NCAA viewing period. We look forward to seeing several of these players get varsity time as freshman this year.

This team completed their year with a 54-13 record and a FINAL FOUR APPEARANCE at the Mid America Youth Basketball National Championships in Wichita, KS. In addition, they won 6 other events including the 8th grade division at the Thanksgiving Shootout, the MWYT Super Regional, Hoops’ Baller Express in Louisville, and 2 other 8th grade division events. The also had 2 other final four appearances at Mid America’s Youth Nationals and BCI’s National Invite in Cincinnati before heading to Kansas. This will surely be one of S.W.I.S.H.’s strongest teams before they leave the program as they already have compiled a 2 year record of 100 – 29 with 15 tournament titles!
