2.0  Discussion

There are currently approximately 9,000 suppliers that do not yet have certification to or a scheduled audit for 9100 Rev C. Based on the recently issued Supplemental Rules by the IAQG, these Suppliers are subject to having their certificate in OASIS suspended. A large number of Nadcap suppliers (approximately 81%) use 9100, so the impact to Nadcap is expected to be significant. The topic for consideration in this conference call was whether Nadcap should accept 9100 certificates in “suspended” status.

Concerns / Comments:

·  Should NOP-002 be modified?

·  Consider identifying the reason for suspension, or making it clear whether the certificate is suspended due to Rev C or for other reasons.

o  Does OASIS display the reason for suspension?

·  Suggestion to tie the OASIS and eAuditNet data to give NMC/Nadcap information on certificate status

·  The suspension status is used when the conditions do not warrant a withdrawal

3.0 Vote

Following the discussion above, the attendees voted on the following two motions. See attached for itemized list of votes, including NMC members who voted in absentia.

Motion 1: As a result of the decisions taken by the IAQG OPMT as documented in SR001, the NMC and the Nadcap program shall recognize both the "approved" and "suspended" certificate status in OASIS as an approval of the quality management system in accordance with NOP-002. Motion Passed.

Motion 2: NMC shall request AQS Task Group investigate options and provide NMC a recommendation for further action. Motion Passed.

Action Item: John Barrett to develop Communication Plan to Subscribers, Suppliers, and PRI Staff regarding the NMC Motion approved 2012-02-02 regarding the recognition of suspended certifications to 9100/9110 for Nadcap Accreditation per NOP-002.

Action Item: Jon Steffey & PRI Staff to investigate the possibility to tie the OASIS and eAuditNet data to give NMC/Nadcap information on certificate status.

Action Item: Susan Frailey & AQS Task Group to investigate options and provide NMC a recommendation for further action.

Action Item: Susan Frailey & AQS Task Group to develop Nadcap plan to address the possible 9100/9110 certificate withdrawals effective 1 Jan 2013 as a result of a failure to achieve certification to Rev C. Identify the risks related to an increased use of AC7004 in lieu of recognition of 9100 approvals.
