Naas Féile Ladies reach last 8

Naas u/14 ladies team have reached the quarter finals of this year’s CountyFéile. On Sunday on a very windy and cold day, Naas hosted Celbridge and Carbury .

First up for Naas were Celbridge who won the toss and played with a strong breeze, but it was Naas who took total control of this game and had scored 2-03 within 5 minutes and as a contest this match was over. Naas scored another 2-02 to lead at half time by 4-05 to nil. Some of the scores by the Naas ladies were outstanding.

Naas introduced all the subs (7 in total) for the second half and with total domination won on a scoreline of 6-07 to 0-01. This was a very solid start to this competition by the Naas ladies.

The second game played was between Celbridge and Carbury and this ended in a draw 3-03 to 3-03.

Naas then played Carbury and again Naas lost the toss and played against the wind but as in the first match Naas started at a strong pace and had 2-02 on the scoreboard within 5 minutes and led 3-05 to nil at the break and this match was also over as a contest. Again Naas introduced all the subs and ran out very easy winners on a scoreline of 5-10 to 1-00.

Naas had very strong performances all over the field in both matches and now look forward to the quarter finals fixed for Sunday 24 March at avenue to be decided. Naas starting teams and subs; G.
