MyHub – Start advertising your volunteering opportunities to students now!

  1. Log on to the employer interface of MyHub:


  1. Click on: “Register on Career Hub” (If you are already registered (as you may have sent an advert to the team previously), you can request a new Pass word.)
  2. Click through the “Non-Profit Organisation” Button


  1. Complete your organisation’s details

  2. Under “Organisation Details” please complete all sections marked with an asterisk * and tick “Third Sector – Volunteering & Charities”


  1. Complete your primary contact details and create your own unique username and password for MyHub – you will need to remember this as you will be asked for this every time you log back on to advert a new opportunity or amend something that already exists.
  1. Your organisation will then be approved by the university, once this has happened; you will be able to add volunteering vacancies. But you can add a vacancy now and as soon as you are approved this will be published.

Adding a vacancy

  1. On the left hand side; click “Add a new Vacancy”from the “Vacancies” block:
  2. Complete the following fields:
  • Vacancy Title – Try to ensure that students will know this is a volunteering role as we also advertise paid roles through MyHub
  • Administrative Contact –Your name should be in the drop down list
  • Employment Type –Casual
  • Expected vacancy commencement – The date you need the volunteers for.
  • Salary/Wage – None – Volunteering

Complete the rest of the details about the volunteering opportunity. You will be told how many characters you have available in each text box.
You can then “Save as Draft” or “Save and Publish”


  1. Publishing: Review your vacancy, then confirm you understand that you will NOT be able to edit this vacancy after you press “Next” to submit.
  2. Tick: “Volunteering Opportunities”
  3. Choose the appropriate “Occupation” from the list provided:
  4. Choose “Multi Campus”
  5. Select the date you wish the vacancy to be made visible to students.
  6. Click “Submit”

Your vacancy will become visible once your organisation and vacancy itself have been approved by the Leeds Beckett University Careers Team.
