Member's Comments: Cathy Anderson expressed she was against having an in-house U14 team next season

Ice Board Update:

VP Nomination: Brent Miller nominated Aaron Keopple for the Vice-president position; Erik Davidson seconded it. Aaron Keopple accepted the position

General Operations: Julia Tronnier

Julia discussed this being her last meeting on the board and helping the new person taking over her committee. She also discussed how well the scholarship program went this season with each family who utilized it came through with fulfilling all the requirements.

Concessions: Jess Miller

The concession stand had the most profitable year yet with an ending checkbook balance over $24,000. The concession stand has been packed up and emptied for the summer.

Tournaments: When the ice schedule is set, they will begin setting tournament dates for the 2009-10 hockey season.

Scheduling: Burke Welch

Burke is working on getting the equipment all cleaned up and put away. It was also brought up about changing the colors of our equipment (helmets and breezers) from red to black. The red equipment is very expensive with the black being more cost affordable and easier to obtain. He also noted that if they were to change over all the equipment at once it would cost the association approx. $50,000. It is being talked about starting at the Bantam level first and then eventually working down the levels. With changing just the Bantam equip. out it would cost approx $10,000.

He also discussed making changes to the officiating program. Grady Richartz (non-member and current official for MYHA) taking over the program. Jay Dupree would like less responsibility with having his own children in the program. They will be working on more recruitment of officials with better training.

Fundraising: Aaron Richartz

The 1st annual MYHA golf outing is scheduled for May 16, 2009 at 9 a.m. at Whitetail Golf Course. The cost is $75 per person. This includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart and fish fry. There will be hole prizes and different contests at the holes. Jen Rudiger is working on getting the prizes donated. Parkers has offered to host a social gathering after the golf outing.

Ice and Recognition: Brent Miller

The awards ceremony went well. Bob Heim did an excellent job.

The annual meeting is set for May 16 at the Stout Ale House, 7 p.m.

If anyone is still in the need of assessment hours they need help in removing the boards from the Ag. Building.

Hockey Ops: Erik Davidson

Coaching evaluations have all been turned in and most levels had positive comments; PeeWee's only negative comment was there were too many skaters for one team

U14 Proposal:

Next season there will only be 9 girls at the U14 level. It was brought up about trying to form a co-op with another association or by forming just a In-house league. Cathy Anderson expressed they would be interested in doing a co-op for their daughter with the remaing skaters interested in doing the in-house league. This issue will be brought up at the May meeting.
