Our “S” Song
My silly sister Sally
sips sassafras tea,
sitting on the sofa
with a sandwich on her knee.
My silly sister Sally
sails the sofa on the sea,
while silly sea serpents
swim and sing along with me.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT DAY
The Rosholt School District is offering its annual screening free of charge for children from birth through pre-kindergarten. It will be held in the Elementary School Gymnasium on:
· Thursday, February 16, 2017 (11:00 am – 7:00 pm)
This screening helps to identify developmental levels in the areas of speech and language, readiness, and fine gross/motor skills. There will be vision and hearing professionals on site as well. The entire screening only takes about 30 minutes and suggestions are given to help children get ready for a successful school experience.
Please call the Rosholt Elementary School at 715-677-4543 to request more information or to set up an appointment.
What’s Happening
This week we continued our unit on transportation. We named vehicles that go in the air and on the water. We used a balloon attached to a straw and suspended on a string to learn how a jet works. We blew up the balloon and let the air out to watch it “fly.” We also learned about space travel and went on a pretend “Adventure in Space.”
Thank Yous
Thank you to Michael Wierzba’s family for donating two plastic smocks.
Thank you to all parents who returned field trip permission slips.
