Volunteer Centre West Berkshire is delighted to invite you to take part in training that will enable your organisation to have the knowledge and understanding needed to provide a welcoming and supportive environment to volunteers with mental health conditions.

On completion of the training your organisation will become accredited to the

VCme project.

9.30am – 1pm:Mental Health First Aid Lite Training

Run by Jane Cattermole from the Charity “Minding your Business”

Through interactive and thought-provoking exercises and a dynamic presentation, this session aims to improve the understanding of signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, to challenge attitudes and reduce stigma. It will also help people to feel more confident in dealing with and supporting people who suffer from mental ill health. There is ample opportunity for questions and all delegates receive a certificate and a manual with a resources pack.

1 – 2pm:Break for lunch that will be provided

2 – 4pm:Garry Poulson, Director, Volunteer Centre West Berkshire

and Jacqui Letsome, VCme Project Co-ordinator

During this session delegates will learn how to apply their learning to the way they manage volunteers with mental health problems within their own organisations.

Delegates will also learn more about the VCme project, before being presented with their organisation’s certificate of VCme accreditation.
