Language Arts / Dialogic Big Book: The Chick and the Duckling
Song/Poem: “Little Red Hen”
Nursery Rhyme: “Old Mother Hubbard”
Learn to Write: Introduce letter patterns, review identifying all capital and lowercase letters of the alphabet, identifying letter sounds, practicing writing letters and simple words, practicing writing complete sentences with Fry words
Word Study: -ug, -ut (review rhyming words)

Interactive Read Aloud: Tikki Tikki Tembo
Math / Introducing composing and decomposing numbers to 10
Review addition and subtraction with manipulatives, drawings, and numerals
Review comparing objects by their length, height, capacity, and weight
Review counting and writing to 100 by 1’s and by 10’s
Review counting objects in different arrangements and writing numbers 0-20 to match the number of objects in a group/set
Review 2-dimensional and 3-dimenstional shapes: rectangles, squares, circles, hexagons, triangles, cone, cylinder, cube, sphere
Science/Social Studies / I can compare similarities and differences in animals (color, size, appearance).
I can recognize the similarities and differences between a parent and a baby. I can match pictures of animal parents and their offspring explaining your reasoning.
I can compare similarities and differences in plants (color, size, appearance).
I can compare similarities and differences in rocks and soil.
