Further to your enquiry to Solarcrest for a Mechanical Ventilation + Heat Recovery System (MVHR), please provide us with the following information to help us prepare a more accurate quotation.

Q. Is this project a new build, partial or complete renovation, or retrofit to an occupied property
(if light commercial pleasestate purpose and day-to-day occupancy)

Q. How many habitable floors are there?

(e.g. en-suite, bathroom, shower room, WC, utility/laundry)

(sectional drawings are helpful but are not necessarily essential)

Q. What depth of void space is available between the floors to run the ducting in?
(if you have beam & block concrete floors what void space is available below them?)

Q. Is there anywhere in particular you would like to install the heat exchanger unit?
(Most MVHR units are loft mounted in the attic or wall hung in a cupboard, store or plant room)

Q.If the MVHR is to be installed in your attic, will it be a cold or a warm space?
(Insulation below the rafters = warm space, insulation above the ceiling = cold space)

Q. Would you prefer to vent the MVHR to atmosphere through the wall, soffit or roof?
(If you have a choice through the wall is normally easiest and cheapest, then the soffit, then roof)

Q. Please advise if there are any restrictions that may not be clear on the drawings
(e.g. Steel beams, staircases, under floor heating, built-in furniture or very thick masonry walls)

Q. Would you like a summer bypass for your MVHR system?
(This disables the heat recovery function in hot weather and is an optional extra on some units)

Q. Would you like sensors to automatically boost the airflow when high humidity is detected?

Q. What stage are you at with your project? (Early first fix is the ideal time for installation)
(e.g. planning, laying the foundations, first fix, final fix, retrofit, NA)
