MUSIC DEVICES GUIDELINES

FOR

STUDENTS RIDING BUSES

·  Rider is responsible for own music device.

School and driver are not responsible for lost or damaged music devices.

·  Rider shall only listen to his/her own music device and must only insert a single ear piece or bud.

No sharing, and always keep one ear free of buds.

·  Rider must keep music at a low level.

Music should not be heard by driver and should not be interfering with others.

·  Rider shall not have any ear piece or bud in ear during emergency evacuation drills.

Focus should remain on evacuation drill and follow instructions of driver.

·  Rider shall always be aware of anything out of the ordinary during bus ride and remove ear piece or bud for instructions.

Periodically look around and maintain safe, orderly and respectful bus riding behaviors.

·  Riders shall not have ear piece or bud in ear while loading or unloading at bus stops or schools.

Focus should remain on driver and following loading and unloading procedures.
