MUS 2112: Advanced Voice

Description

This course is a continuation from MUS 1208. Emphasis is on technique, theory, music reading, performance, practicing, and utilizing more advanced repertoire. Emphasis will be on a selection of repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras, as well. Participation in Departmental performances is mandatory.

Objectives

  1. To acquire advanced skills of hearing, reading and writing musical sound
  2. To advance in solo singing techniques
  3. To equip the students with skills to perform with a music ensemble at an advanced level
  4. To offer skills of the vocal styles of the different music genres
