Murrelektronik Beefs Up its Award Winning Modular Fieldbus System
Leading automation solutions provideradds new features to its Cube67+ system – the next generation of I/O connectivity.
Suwanee, Georgia, September 1, 2016 – Murrelektronik, the global automation systems component provider announced today the addition of threenew features toits Cube67+ modular system – Placeholder, Free Mapping and Machine Option Management – increasing the efficiency of its diagnostic capabilities.
Handled as a compact device on Ethernet/IP programming tools, Cube67+can be customized to meet the specific requirements of an installation solution. Characterized by its single cable technology, multi-function modules, flexible installation methods and robust, potted circuitry, Cube67+ transfers both power and data from a single bus node to connected modules simplifying installation.Three new features now add greater flexibility to an already state-of-the-art system:
- The Placeholder allows users to reserve input and output bytes inside the Cube67+ station for future system expansions.
- The Free I/O Mapping functionality allows users to define the addresses of each I/O module connected to the Cube67+ station.
- Machine Option Management allows users to change the topology of a Cube67+ station without changing his PLC program.
