Three gold to Clare athletes in Tullamore
The National Develoment Games and Combined Events were held in Tullamore Co. Offaly and three Clare athletes taking gold and finishing off there track season on high was Niamh Conlon Kilmihil in the U/12’s 60metres when taking the Gold Medal in (8 . 93secs) and she captured another National Title this time in the Long Jump with a leap of (3 . 99metres).
Two St Marys athletes Darragh Miniter St Marys winning gold in the boys U/13’s Shot putt with a throw of (10 . 61metres) and his brother Joseph Miniter St Marys competing in the boys U/15’s Shot Putt taking a silver medal (8 . 09m) and finishing fourth in the Long Jump.
Emily Barry Marian in the girls U/14’s 100metres gave one her best performances in these National Championships to take the gold medal in (14 . 21secs) with Patrick O Rourke Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare in the boys U/15’s winning a bronze medal with a time of (2mins . 23secs)
The National Combined Juvenile, Senior and Masters Events were also held in Tullamore and David Courtney Ennis Track in the Masters O/50's Quadrathlon and over four events he was only beaten by six points for the National title by Peader Mc Ging Dundrum South Dublin , Cliodhna Blake St Johns in the U/16’s Juvenile Pentathlon finishing 4th overall.
