Welcoming Address
• Introduce SCASD Group and Charrette/Design team.
• Outline Charrette process that lies ahead.
• Outline School Board’s idea for Memorial Field
7:10pm – 7:20pm

Commence Charrette Session
• Outline expectations and the anticipated outcomes for this evening.
• Describe broad parameters of the master planning project.
• Invitation for audience to ask any questions at this time.

Form Activity Groups
• Divide the room into approximately 3 equal-sized groups including participants from SCASD and Charrette/Design team).
• Each group will be fundamentally interested in “Community” issues or “Team/Sports” issues, or “Parent” issues. Non-categorized audience members can join any group they wish, to even out numbers, etc
• Each Group will be headed up by a Group Leader who will be a member of the Charrette/Design team. The Group Leader will present the Group’s findings to the audience.
• Divide each group into tables of 8 – 12 people.
• Each table elects a Table-Head to represent their table’s ideas to the Group Leader.
7:30pm– 8:10pm

Commence Dot Exercise
• Assemble around the site plans of Memorial Field and its surrounding context.
• Representing where each thing they like (green dots), each thing they don’t like (red dots) and each thing that has potential (blue dots) is located, ask members to place green dots on one plan, red dots on another, and blue dots on the third plan.
• Each Table-Head to verbally summarize findings of each table.
• Table-Heads convene, and Group Leader summarizes findings of each Table-Head.
• Charrette/Design team collects the site plans for later analysis.
8:10pm– 8:30pm

Report Group Findings to Audience
• Each of the 3 Group Leaders reports their findings to the audience.
• Charrette Leader to list findings as notes.
8:30pm – 8:50pm

Summary and Wrap
• Charrette Leader prepares a consolidated verbal summary of outcomes as reported by the 3 Group Leaders.
• Invite final comments/discussion from the audience.
• Charrette findings may be viewed on SCASD website within a few weeks. Findings will be a written summary and a graphic of the “merged” dot exercise.
